Detailed Description

Your Role 
 
As an Accounting Specialist, you are a member of our Finance & Legal department. You will be a key member of the  Accounting  team, assuming responsibility for diverse transactional tasks. You verify and ensure data quality in our subsystems, and maintain efficient processes & accounting operations. You trigger and support automation and improvement efforts in your area of expertise.

Your Responsibilities

    • Support the daily business: You run daily operational tasks independently (interact with our vendors / suppliers, liaise cross-functionally with various internal teams, and mail processing), while reviewing and analyzing your own results.
    • Drive our day-to-day accounting operations: Serve as the point-person for all accounting related tasks, including bank reconciliations, credit card administration, payroll, invoicing and payments, sales taxes, and reporting. Also Maintain the relationship with our external bookkeeping service.
    • Verify and ensure data quality in our subsystems and maintain efficient processes in our daily operations: You identify and correct errors in our automated processes (such as bank account and other reconciliations), and introduce checks and mitigation procedures. 
    • Oversee our subledger accounting: Oversee our asset accounting, accounts receivable accounting and accounts payable accounting on a daily basis. Design and implement measures to verify data validation and transfer from subsystems. Identify and resolve discrepancies in our accounts independently, and adjust processes and controls to avoid such discrepancies for the future. Reduce audit findings to a minimum.
    • Assist with our Month End Close Process: You will be key in owning and automating processes in order to enable FINN to have consistently effective month close processes.

Your Profile​

    • Graduated with Bachelor’s degree in accounting
    • 1+ years of relevant work experience in corporate accounting
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, ability to handle multiple vendors and requests.
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to keep track of multiple parallel processes.
$62,500 - $84,000 biweekly
The salary for this role will be within the range of $62,500 to $84,000. This is the lowest and highest salary that we in good faith believe to be fair for this role at the time of this posting, and is only applicable to jobs located in New York City. However, the actual salary offered may be more or less than the range posted. Factors that may influence an employee's pay within this range include, but are not limited to, their qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, education level, seniority, and performance. This compensation range may also be subject to change in the future.
