Job Description

The Business Development Representative (BDR) position is responsible for setting qualified meetings to kick off the sales cycle. The BDR will coordinate with Outside Sales, Marketing, and Subject Matter Experts to execute lead development campaigns and generate as much new business as possible. 

Essential Functions Include:

  • Prospect, qualify and generate new client meetings through cold calling and cold emailing
  • Manage, track, and follow up on leads as they progress through the sales cycle.
  • Partner with Business Development to create client networking events and drive attendance to these events 
  • Collaborate with Marketing to facilitate new programs, messages and campaigns.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree is preferred, but not required
  • 1 year of experience in a sales or sales support role is preferred, but not required.
  • Previous cold calling and cold emailing experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with Custom Relationship Management (CRM) databases is preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Technically savvy with the Internet and MS Office tools.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn and other business platforms.
