Detailed Description

Job Summary:

 

The Principal DM Project Analyst is a key contributor and is responsible for working with the Director of Data Management Strategy in overseeing the financial and resourcing responsibilities of the portfolio.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to take ownership for the financial management over the Data Management projects/programs

  • Reviews hours billed versus expected contracted hours to identify any potential overburns and/or scope creep.

  • Works with the Director, Data Management Operations and Associate Directors, Data Management to identify root cause of any overburns, strategizes on mitigation plan and assists in the execution of that mitigation plan.

  • Attends financial review meetings (internal and external). Acts as the direct liaison with the Finance group.

  • Works with the DM teams to plan and manage resource needs and review utilization rates

  • Assist in other operational duties as directed by Data Management leadership

 

Necessary Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong project management skills and technical aptitude.

  • Experience in Contract Research Organization (CRO) or pharmaceutical/biotechnology company preferred

  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal skills, both written and spoken, with an ability to inform, influence, convince, and persuade.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines in a high stress environment.

  • Basic computer skills in Word, Excel, and email. Industry standard system experience preferred.

  • Experience working with SmartSheet

  • Knowledge of clinical data management platforms
