The Finance Manager will manage the DE finance team through preparation of the management accounts for the ProPharma DE GmbH, managing the regional intercompany billing and structure, overseeing the payroll function for Germany and taking responsibility for Cashflow requirements connected to the above entities. The Finance Manager will report into the EU Financial Accounting Manager.
The role can be offered on a Hybrid basis with three days a week in the office.
Essential Functions:
Management of the DE finance team, including all employee related tasks (Performance management, illness etc.).
Coordination of the Accounting timeline and schedules in DE
Preparation and review of monthly accounting reports for ProPharma Germany
Provision of monthly analysis of the accounts and assistance with management accounts reporting to regional stakeholders and corporate finance based in the US.
Assist with the preparation of monthly forecasts
Assist with reporting on factors influencing business performance
Maintenance of all balance sheet reconciliations
Manage the year-end audit procedures
Statutory filing and payments
Manage the cashflow requirements connected with all entities.
Processing transactions such as supplier invoicing, bank payments, bank reconciliations, sales invoicing & checking accuracy of coding.
Manage the intercompany billing and nominal ledger accounts for all entities in this region. Manage intercompany eliminations.
Assist with management accounting tasks for other entities within the region
Quarterly VAT returns all entities in DE.
Provide cover for National Statistics
Oversight of and support with the payroll function. Provide cover for leave within the payroll team.
Additional tasks and projects assignments as requested by your manager to support the EU finance team.
The successful candidate must have:
Fluent German and English language skills
Experience of managing a finance team.
Be a qualified accountant
Have experience of preparing management accounts
Extensive payroll experience
Excellent IT skills with advanced knowledge of Excel
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent planning skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the business
