Job Summary

Your Tasks:

Together, we are taking the step into a new era of cognitive robots:

Take on a central role in safety management and act as a crucial interface between development, product planning and the relevant certification authorities
Work closely with our lead engineers and company management on new safety concepts for robots and autonomous vehicles
Perform all required safety assessments and create safety concepts in conjunction with technical functions in the context of the overall system
Create specification and documentation at system, hardware and software levels
Support development with assessments and safety testing of all relevant functionalities and introduce early integration of safety-compliant design in the development process
Coordinate risk assessments from external certification authorities
Perform risk assessments and implement measures to evaluate the safe operation of prototypes and production products

Detailed Description

Your Profile:

You are a technology enthusiast who wants to change the world for the better. You are passionate about your work, driven by a problem-solving mentality and have the following skills:

Master's degree in functional safety, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field of study
3+ years of relevant experience with functional safety in industrial robotics, experience in collaborative robotics desirable
In-depth knowledge of safety standards for machinery (e.g. ISO 10218, ISO 13849, ISO/TS 15066) and the Machinery Directive
Profound knowledge of safety-relevant fieldbus systems (e.g. FSoE or PROFIsafe)
Experience in working with external certification authorities (e.g. TÜV or BG)
Experience with quality management, configuration management and lifecycle management
Methodical thinking and approach to complex problems
Business fluent in written and spoken German, very good English skills
Trustworthy and reliable
