Job Summary

Your Tasks:

Together, we are taking the step into a new era of cognitive robots:

  • Support maintenance and upgrade of our designs, specially while transferring them to series production​

  • Cooperate in a team environment on varying embedded systems project scopes and directions​

  • Develop your skills on a topic of your interest to create valuable know-how, thus strengthening not only yourself but the team

  • You create concepts for systems, subsystems and develop technical decision templates 

  • Furthermore, you will perform system tests, error detection and system integration

  • In addition, you will coordinate or create essential system documents

  • Cooperate with other developers and testers in debugging internal or external embedded systems​

  • Cooperate in a team environment on varying embedded systems

Detailed Description

Software focus:

  • Support in the maintenance and updating of our internal C/C++ libraries
  • Using debug tools to develop their code to evaluate the performance of external tools and to explore new IC
  • Investigate opportunities to unify library across IDEs and microcontrollers to support code portability in our new projects and products

Hardware focus: ​

  • Work on new hardware prototypes, e.g., power supplies, audio amplifiers, LED controllers, LAN/USB adapters or exploration of new IC/ASICs​
  • Basic use of SW IDEs while testing your own prototypes
  • Cooperate with other developers and testers in debugging internal or external designs, particularly while integrating new embedded hardware​

 

Your Profile:

You are a technology enthusiast who wants to change the world for the better. You are passionate about your work, driven by a problem-solving mentality and have the following skills:

  • University degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mechatronics or a related field of studyMethodical thinking for complex problems ​
  • Interest in industrial communication protocols (EtherCAT, Modbus or CAN)
  • Advance English language skills​
  • Main location is Hamburg, however, open to cooperation with our other locations

Software focus:

  • Experience with Microcontroller TI C2000 or ARM Cortex-M based STM32F1-F4, SAME/D or similar knowledge in Embedded C

·        Experience with Python or Rust is a plus

·        Knowledge of RTOS-principles and their usages

·        Expertise with serial intra communication protocols (SPI/I2C/UART)

·        Awareness of the importance of software development methods (Clean Code, Test Driven Development, Unit Tests)

Hardware focus:​

  • Experience using Altium Designer or similar EDA is necessary​
  • Experience in PCB design with board layer stacks of 2+​
  • Good knowledge in the field of measurement technology and handling of modern laboratory equipment​
  • Experience with serial communication protocols (SPI/I2C/UART) is required​
  • Experience with EMC-oriented PCB design and signal integrity is a beneficial​
  • Foundations of C/Python is beneficial for HW tests
