Job Summary

FINN makes mobility fun and sustainable. With a flexible car subscription, we bring a true e-commerce experience to car ownership and offset all CO2 emissions along the way. Join our fast-growing startup to build the most popular auto e-commerce platform. We work with the best car brands in the world and are backed by leading global investors.

Detailed Description

Your Role

As (Senior) Financial Performance Manager, you play a key role in how FINN is presented to investors and financial markets. You ensure the proper functioning of our daily accounting activities and prepare accurate monthly financial statements according to IFRS and HGB. To do so, you identify and analyze anomalies, launch correction efforts and serve as the primary point of contact for other departments. You will work closely with our VP Accounting, external advisors and auditors on a daily basis.

Your Benefits

    • This role is based in Munich with flexibility to work (temporarily) remotely from anywhere within Germany or from home. For candidates relocating to Munich, we offer full visa support.
    • With massive growth potential, FINN allows you to quickly develop and succeed in a highly motivating startup environment with ambitious challenges in cross-functional teams.
    • Competitive fixed salary, significant virtual equity share of the company, along a yearly personal development budget of 1,500€.
    • Our open, modern office in the middle of Munich is known for loads of fun with amazing colleagues and frequent team events.
    • You want to drive your own car with FINN? – Get one with our employee discount program.

Your Responsibilities

    • Assume responsibility in the monthly closing and reporting process: As a key member of the Financial Performance team you ensure the preparation of financial statements for all our entities, statutory and IFRS, in time and quality. You develop into the primary point of contact for the Finance organizations of our international subsidiaries and continuously improve our closing procedures and ensure FINN’s IPO readiness.
    • Oversee our subledger accounting: You assume an essential role in overseeing our highly automated asset accounting, accounts receivable accounting and accounts payable accounting on a daily basis.
    • Assess and optimize our operational finance processes (billing, invoicing and closing): You design and implement measures to verify data received from subsystems. You take full responsibility in identifying and resolving discrepancies in our accounts and adjust processes and controls, thereby reducing audit findings to a minimum.
    • Support our business processes: You cooperate closely with operational departments to anticipate and avoid deviations in the finance processes. You guide operational departments on financial matters. Hence you warrant the complete and fair representation of our financial performance.

Your Profile

    • You are a young professional with 2-3 years of work experience in accounting or audit. Work experience in a fast-growing startup is a plus.
    • You graduated top of your class in an accounting-related field of study from a top-tier university.
    • You have good knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and/or IFRS. We support your professional training and certifications in this area of expertise.
    • Experience with SAP S4/HANA accounting and reporting modules is a plus.
    • You are a self-starter with strong analytical skills and you work with great attention to detail.
    • You are well organized and an excellent team player.
    • You are fluent in German and English.
